Know what is stored

The current Scrape build stores recipes, source URLs, field selectors, collected values and run checkpoints in extension-local browser storage. It does not upload scraped results to Downez. This describes Scrape, not a blanket guarantee for future Downez products.

Treat recipes as useful configuration

A recipe reuses your selected fields and collection settings. The current local allowance is ten recipes; an existing recipe can still be updated at that limit. Recipe JSON backups contain configuration, and data exports should be kept separately.

Plan for deletion

Removing a recipe and clearing a run are separate actions. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data but does not delete files already downloaded. Browser storage is not a substitute for a backup.
